John Balouziyeh is a partner at the New York-based international law firm Curtis, Mallet-Prevost, Colt & Mosle LLP, where he manages a diverse portfolio of international legal matters. Holding common law and civil law qualifications, he previously worked at the U.S. Department of State, the United Nations and the Inter-American Court of Human Rights. John completed his legal studies in the United States and Europe as a Fulbright Fellow and has worked or resided in jurisdictions around the world, including China, France, Saudi Arabia, Spain, Turkey and the United Arab Emirates. He has authored or edited over 20 books and 40 articles on law and international affairs. His publications, which have been written in Arabic, English, French and Spanish, reflect a core belief that government best serves its people when based on the principles of human rights, individual liberty and the rule of law.
