Joanna is a specialist in country branding and influencer marketing. She is the founder and Chair of the Board of Vibe Israel, a nonprofit based in Tel Aviv that pioneered digital influencer tours to Israel in 2011. Under Joanna's leadership as CEO, Vibe Israel generated over a billion positive mentions about Israel online, and was a finalist in both Best Use of Social Media and Best Use of Data categories of the City Nation Place Awards for place branding specialists. Joanna works with governments, NGO's and private companies on promoting their country's story to the world and reaching new audiences and remains passionate about doing so for Israel. Joanna is a Director of Tel Aviv Global & Tourism, the international marketing arm of Tel Aviv Municipality, a governor of Tel Aviv University, and a member of the International Education Committee of Taglit-Birthright . In 2017, she was chosen by Forbes Israel as one of the 50 most influential women in Israel, and in 2022 she was the Forum Dvorah Award recipient for Foreign Policy. Joanna was born in London and moved to Israel with her family when she was 5 years old. After serving in the IDF as a paramedic, she read law at Cambridge University where she gained BA and MA degrees. Joanna also holds an MBA, cum laude, from Reichman University in Israel. She worked as a lawyer in the high-tech industry and established two Internet start-ups before founding Vibe Israel and serving as its CEO for 12 years. She lives in Tel-Aviv with her husband, 3 children and 3 dogs.
