Jim Melvin is the award-winning author of epic fantasy, supernatural fiction, and horror, including The Death Wizard Chronicles, the Dark Circles fantasy trilogy, and Valley of the Damned. His novels have earned 27 international literary awards, including the 2025 American Fiction Award for Epic Fantasy, multiple Gold and Silver honors from The BookFest and the Global Book Awards, the Best Literary Merit Award from the International Firebird Book Awards, and recognition from Killer Nashville and Literary Titan. A former journalist and university communications director, Jim has written thousands of articles and multiple novels. He now lives in a quiet valley in the Southern Appalachian Mountains, where he continues to write stories filled with magic, monsters, and myth.
