Jeff spent most of his career engineering space systems as co-founder and CTO of RKF Engineering and Kythera Space Solutions and as an inventor on more than 30 patents. After selling his companies in December 2025, he retired to write hard science fiction full-time. He is the author of Prena’s Eye and The Spark Anomaly.

Not all of Jeff’s ventures were successful. He designed the award-winning home animation product 3D Choreographer, which filmmakers used, along with an all-star cast, to create Rapsittie Street Kids: Believe in Santa—arguably the worst animated movie ever made. Que sera, sera.

Jeff also hosts the YouTube channel Sci-NoFi Year 3000, where he explores practical engineering solutions for future technologies.
