Prior to founding CIV, Jeff co-founded Summit, a leading business and thought leadership community.

Jeff co-owns Powder Mountain, the largest ski resort in North America.

As an active angel investor, he has made over 50 early investments in companies including SpaceX, Anduril, Uber, Warby Parker, Scopely, and Devoted Health. He sits on the board of the Ocean Conservancy, Beyond Conflict, Street Soccer USA, and is a member of Conservation International’s Leadership Council. Jeff is the co-author of Make No Small Plans, a member of the Council on Foreign Relations, and holds a BA in International Business from American University.
