Jamil Massey is a motivational Speaker under the name JMasseyspeaks and has spoken to several school, non-profit and corporate organizations. He has recently published an autobiography called High School No Fool(ebook release 11/24/20 and hardcopy 12/8/20). In this this book, he talks about growing up on a low income farm in the Monroe, NC Area without a father who was killed in a car accident when Jamil was a baby. In grade school, he became a class clown and failed the 9th grade. Barely graduating high school, he attempted college twice but flunked out both times. The lack of education and experience equated to a slow start to his career but, with grit, determination and training, he was able to slowly climb the corporate ladder to becoming a Facility Manager of Equitable Financial Life Insurance Company, where he’s been employed over 16 years. Being a fan of teenagers, Jamil has coached and mentored students for over 20 years. He has served as Student Minister in charge of Middle School and High School and College age students. Involved in Youth Sports, he had been head coach and assistant coach for various basketball and soccer teams. Jamil is also a member of Toastmasters International where he has held several club officer positions, such as President and Vice President of Membership for Equitable’s Etc. Etc. Toastmasters Club. He has achieved, Advanced Communicator Gold, Advanced Leader Bronze and is pursing the highest Toastmaster Designation, which is Distinguished Toastmaster. Jamil is married with 5 kids and enjoys extracurricular activities with them. Some of them include basketball, cheerleading, video editing and creative funny moments.
