Jack El-Hai, whose book The Nazi and the Psychiatrist has been adapted into the movie Nuremberg starring Rami Malek and Russell Crowe, writes about medicine, science, and history. He has contributed more than 500 articles and essays to The Atlantic, Smithsonian, GQ, Scientific American, Wired, and many other publications. In addition to The Nazi and the Psychiatrist (PublicAffairs), his books include The Lobotomist: A Maverick Medical Genius and His Tragic Quest to Rid the World of Mental Illness (Wiley), Face in the Mirror (Mayo Clinic Press), and The Lost Brothers (University of Minnesota Press). He also wrote the Long Lost podcast, an adaptation of The Lost Brothers.
