In his previous life, Foster was a software executive at tech giants Oracle and DocuSign. A lifelong fan of Ian Fleming's thrillers, he dreamt of one day creating his own version of James Bond. An avid watch collector, in 2023 he took a boys’ trip to Europe with other fellow Miami watch enthusiasts, visiting the most prestigious independent watch manufacturers in Switzerland -- De Bethune, F.P. Journe, Roman Gauthier, MB&F, Urwerk, and Greubel Forsey. The experience would be the inspiration for Foster's first novel “Dead Beat Seconds.” – A high octane action techno-thriller set in the world of luxury watch collecting.
