Herman Forwood writes fiction shaped by history, politics, and the uneasy tension between power and ordinary lives. Drawing on a background spanning both the Middle East and the U.S, his work explores alternate realities, political fault lines, and the human stories caught within them. His novels blend suspense, historical texture, and big what-if questions without losing sight of character.

Based in California, Herman is a student of history, a traveler, and someone deeply interested in cultures and the ways people live, build, and change the world around them. His writing is shaped by a fascination with the forces that shape societies, from ideology and conflict to culture, memory, and ambition.
