I have currently received my MSW degree. I have learned to 'invest in myself' and turn negatives into positives by conquering addiction, and working with a criminal history. In my past, there was a lot of shame and anger, and I have been battling PTSD for a long time. Change is not easy to change because it feels new and awkward but it is the best investment I have ever made (myself) and although I am and always will be a work in progress life doesn't feel like punishment anymore. My book covers stigmas, racism, addiction, and incarceration. and PTSD. To finally, get some clarity about self, and exposures and finding a healthy sense of self-care and balance can open to a whole new world.
