Glenn Hughes is the author or editor of eleven books of philosophy, the author of three poetry chapbooks/booklets, and the editor or co-editor of four works by the late Northwest poet and painter Robert Sund. Raised primarily in Seattle, he has variously lived in northern Washington State, Switzerland, Wales, and Texas. After receiving his doctorate in philosophy from Boston College, he taught briefly at Simmons College before moving to San Antonio, where for three decades he was a professor and endowed chair holder at St. Mary's University. He is now Professor Emeritus of St. Mary's University, residing in Washington State, with his dog, Natasha.
