Evelyn James

Evelyn James has worked as a historian and writer since 2003. She has been nominated for the Asham Award and came second in the Rider Haggard Literary Award. Her novels about Clara Fitzgerald are inspired by her love of early Twentieth Century history and her fascination with crime stories. Influenced by the works of Agatha Christie, Conan Doyle and other early writers she decided to create her own fictitious detective working in post-war Brighton.
