I’ve spent my life in service to others—first as an international flight attendant, then as a Blue Mountains tour operator in Australia. Since 2008, I’ve had the honour of walking beside hundreds of families as a funeral celebrant, guiding them through the tender and often overwhelming experience of planning a farewell. My passion for people and attention to detail were shaped by years in the travel and hospitality industries. But it was the sudden death of my father in 1997 that truly changed my path. Experiencing how things can go wrong during such a pivotal time planted a deep desire in me to help others navigate it with clarity, care, and compassion. How to Plan a Funeral is my debut book—written with heartfelt intention and grounded in real-world experience. Though based in Australia, the principles I share transcend borders. If you’re navigating loss or planning a goodbye, I hope this guide helps you feel supported and less alone.
