Emma R McNally was born in Essex, England and is the author and illustrator of The Adventures of Harold Huxley. The series is aimed at early readers and Emma is currently working on a series for pre-school children. Full details of events and Emma's work can be found at www.haroldhuxley.co.uk. Q. Where did the idea for Harold Huxley come from? A. I created Harold Huxley in 2013, based on a story I wrote when I was a small girl. I had the idea of a househog when I bought a hedgehog door stop a couple of years ago! Q. Where did your love of books come from and who is your favourite children's author? A. I have always loved books and have fond memories of sitting with my family and listening to my Dad taking us on imaginary journeys with the help of CS Lewis and other wonderful authors. Difficult to chose one particular favourite, as I love so many, but I have always had a soft spot for AA Milne, the creator of Winnie the Pooh. Q. Apart from writing and drawing, what else do you like to do? A. I love being creative and always have a number of things on the go. I make the models of the characters from the series, which you can come and meet at my book signing events. I really enjoy telling my stories, using props, and involving the audience which is a lot of fun for everyone. I also share Harold Huxley's love for travelling.Read more Read less
