Eli Kern writes middle grade fantasy, drawing inspiration for worldbuilding from the places he’s called home (across 4 continents) and the languages he speaks, which include Japanese and Swahili. His novels and short stories explore the relationship between humans and the natural world, focusing on the question what happens when we forget we belong to the Earth, and how do we find our way back? A member of the Pacific Northwest Writers Association (PNWA), he is published in the anthology HOPE AMONG THE STORM. Eli has completed his debut novel, BROTHER OF CHAOS, the first installment in a middle grade eco-adventure fantasy trilogy, and is currently working on the second book. Outside of writing, he is a public health epidemiologist and nurse, and father of two teens who share his love of fantasy and nature. Eli is currently seeking literary representation.
