Fantasy and science fiction have always been my favorites. Especially those from the era of dime novels and genre magazines, the time when both were still deemed fringe. Those stories spark the imagination and bring a reader to worlds and concepts beyond his reality. Though I have to admit, reality is fast catching up with science fiction.

A whirlwind adventure with well developed characters based upon multiple pantheons of mythology. What is not to love? The first book of the series was well-written and well-rounded, but this book is priceless. The deities were relatable by their personalities and it helped to understand their motivations. Truly a marvelous piece of literature.

There is evidence of solid research scattered through the books, woven ins so that it enhances the narrative, even drives it forwards, rather than weighing it down as so often happens when such things are attempted. Fun interactions between characters, an engaging story, and legends coming out of the woodwork. look forward to more!
