E.K. O'Connor is a mythologist and writer with a Ph.D. in Mythological studies. She fell in love with myths and stories before she could read and spent many an hour battling goblins with swords fashioned from sticks in the woods around her childhood home.

Her greatest challenge is sitting still long enough to write, when not enjoying her hobbies of hiking and tabletop games. An advocate for LGBTQ+ rights, her work is deeply informed by classic fantasy setting and queer elements.

She currently lives with her wife (who moonlights as her developmental editor, marketer and business partner) in California, with numerous house plants and aspirations to one day adopt a cat and dog.
