Dr. Dice is a clinical therapist, nationally recognized counselor, trainer, presenter, and leading addiction specialist. A former firefighter, paramedic, U.S. Navy SEAL, and military group counselor, he bridges conventional counseling with the culture of those who serve. Based in Virginia Beach, he operates an intensive outpatient program for veterans, military personnel, law enforcement, and first responders. His expertise includes PTSD, suicide, substance use disorders, and service-related mental health. Formerly Mental Health Director at EVMS’s Ambulatory Care Center, he led behavioral health, PTSD treatment, and suicide-prevention training. He has presented nationally and internationally, published in the mental health field, and teaches addiction and human services at Old Dominion University. A husband, father of five, and PTSD and SUD survivor, Dr. Dice brings professional and lived experience to his work. He holds degrees in social sciences, human services, and counselor education and supervision.
