Dr. Carl Carado struggled as a teen with his sexuality until his young adulthood. Like many others in the LGBTQ+ community, he went through emotional, physical, and psychological abuse, depression, and shame. He has dedicated many years attempting to figure out his place in society while navigating internal conflicts related to faith, race, relationships, and self-acceptance. His passion for helping others get to a place of self-acceptance is now one of his lifelong missions. Today, he stands in sharing the message that our most incredible armor is self-acceptance and living our authentic lives fearlessly. He holds a Doctor of Education, Juris Doctor, and a master’s degree in Nursing, in addition to being licensed as a registered nurse for over 25 years. He is a proud military veteran and considers it an honor and a privilege to have served in the U.S. Army and U.S. Air Force. “Helping you achieve self-acceptance matters deeply to me because everyone needs reaffirmation that there is more to life than surviving each day. You can thrive as an authentic, happy, and fulfilled human being deeply rooted in peace that you are enough, worthy, and have a rightful place in society.
