Denise Olsen is a compassionate guide through life's toughest moments, a beacon of wisdom on the speaking circuit, and a newly published author with a heart as vast as her experience. With a foundation in nursing as an RN-BSN and a keen understanding of the human body and mind's complexities, Denise has navigated the intricate path of healing, personally and professionally. After suffering the loss of her husband, a NYC firefighter, on 9/11, Denise utilized yoga, meditation and breathwork to heal. She is a registered yoga instructor with over 300hrs of experience, specializing in the military community, combat-related PTSD and military sexual assault. Denise’s business, Strong and Soulful, guides those who have suffered grief/loss and/or trauma through their healing journey. She focuses on using pain as a portal to our highest selves. When Denise isn’t speaking, writing, or traveling, she can be found at her home near the beach chasing sunrises, enjoying her family and seeking out her next adventure.
