David Pawn, born in Magdeburg in 1961, now lives in Dresden, is happily married and is proud of his two grown-up children. Already as a child, he lived out his fantasy in writing and remained true to this hobby during his studies. The graduate engineer now works full-time as a software developer in Leipzig and is thus forced to commute every day. He passes the time on the train by writing his stories. Originally more at home in the horror genre, he has since switched to fantasy. He considers the Potions series, which takes motifs from J.K. Rowling's well-known novels and adapts them into his own world in Germany, to be his greatest success to date. He tends to create heroes in his books who deserve this designation only to a limited extent, but are rather average types who have to outgrow themselves in the course of the story.
