David Allan Galloway was born in Gettysburg, PA. He became profoundly deaf in one ear when he protracted a childhood illness. He graduated from Penn State in 1979 and spent most of his career in various manufacturing leadership positions. David's personal hearing loss, coupled with a tragic workplace incident where two employees were severely injured, inflamed his passion for safety. He resolved to make a difference by helping others understand the role of leadership in safety performance. In 2015, David started Continuous MILE Consulting to assist clients in improving their safety culture through effective leadership. He blogs about leadership at ContinuousMile dot com. They have two daughters and four grandchildren.
