David A. Hirsch is the father of five young adults and works full time as a wealth advisor for UBS Financial Services in Chicago. He is founder of 21st Century Dads Foundation whose mission is: Improving the lives of children by raising awareness and resources for greater father involvement, and inspiring dads to be present; physically, emotionally, financially and spiritually. He also is founder of the 19-year-old Illinois Fatherhood Initiative, the country’s first state-wide nonprofit fatherhood organization, whose mission is: Connecting Children & Fathers and Actively engaging fathers in the education of children. He gave a TEDx Talk entitled “Why We Need To Break The Cycle Of Father Absence.” He has appeared on ABC, CBS, NBC, WGN as well as The Oprah Winfrey Show. He earned his MBA from the J.L. Kellogg Graduate School of Management at Northwestern University, and a Bachelors of Science in Accounting from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. He was a national Fellow with W.K. Kellogg Foundation. He also serves on a number of boards including the Barrington Area Community Foundation and Chicago Police Memorial Foundation. He and his wife, Peggy, live in the Chicago area.
