Daniel Zimberoff is a combat veteran and former trial attorney turned author and advocate. He works to promote dying with dignity rights, veteran’s affairs, and defending democracy. His writings have appeared in numerous print and online military, business, industry, and legal periodicals. Compelled by his father’s last wish, "Wingman: Escorting My Father To A Death With Dignity," marks his debut work of narrative nonfiction. In 2022, his non-fiction book, “Avoiding Homeowner Wars: A Comprehensive Guide to Successful HOA Governance,” was published. The book includes dozens of real-life case studies coupled with numerous best practices and scores of tangible resources promoting skilled leadership for the millions of homeowners, (largely volunteer) board members, and professional managers who live and work within the HOA industry. In 2014, he published his debut novel, “The Last Top Gun.” The book captures the lives of Navy fighter pilots at the end of an era where they were part rock stars, part Olympic athletes in the sky, and members of the last great fraternity of airborne warriors. When not typing on a keyboard, Daniel can be found playing beer league hockey, traveling, or spending time with his wife Salima and their young daughter Ellie and his adult children Levi and Ariel. He is a dual United States and Canadian citizen residing in Toronto.
