Dan Fagin is a Professor of Journalism and Director of the Science, Health and Environmental Reporting Program (SHERP) at New York University. A veteran investigative journalist and science reporter, his work has appeared in The New York Times, Newsday, and other major publications. He is the author of Toms River, winner of the 2014 Pulitzer Prize for General Nonfiction and a landmark work of environmental journalism. Fagin lives in New York.
