Born in November of 1983, I was raised in rural Idaho Falls, Idaho, by my amazing parents, Pete and Chris Italiano, and I am the oldest of 3 children, with one brother and one sister; Casey and Brittney. We grew up in a house on a lake, and I spent my younger years riding dirt bikes, shooting guns, fishing, camping, catching frogs and snakes, and dreaming of growing up to be a spy or a ninja. I never cared much for school growing up. To my mind, there was always something better or more fun that I could be doing with my time. As a child of the 80s, I received my first Nintendo NES system at 6 years old and have been a video game lover ever since. When I graduated high school, I moved out of state and spent the next 5 years away from home before moving back. I have lived in 5 states and visited many more, as well as having the opportunity to travel around the world. I have been to four different countries and look forward to traveling to more in my future. I love traveling as much as possible and still take family vacations to Mexico every couple of years. Family is a very big part of my life and background. My parents always ingrained in me that no matter what happens in life, family always comes first. I followed in my mother’s footsteps for many years and worked in multiple positions in the real estate world. However, I have since changed careers, and I now work as a professional smart home and security technician while I write in my downtime. I’m a bit of an adrenaline junkie and have dealt with many broken bones throughout my life. Most recently, I have had two shoulder surgeries in the last 6 years. Both had broken collar bones. One from a motorcycle accident and another from a snowboarding accident. I now have titanium plates in both shoulders and some cool scars to go with them. Despite being accident-prone, I never let the injuries stop me. Every winter, you can find me snowboarding at my local mountain. In the summer, I’m either out riding my Harley Sportster 48, speeding through devious twists and turns in my Subaru WRX, or riding a wake on the back of a surf boat. I am a huge science fiction junkie, and over the past 5 years, I have listened to or read over 500 books. I’ve been fascinated with anything to do with space, aliens, or exoplanets for as long as I can remember. As a young teenager, I began writing poems and song lyrics, and I continued that sporadically as I got older. Never in my life had I imagined or ever desired to write a fiction novel. Sitting at my computer one random afternoon, I decided it had been a while since I had written a new song. As I sat and pondered concepts in my head, I had a strange inclination to tell a short story. An hour later, I had written the Prologue for Transync, The Dova Sku Series Book 1. At that time, I had no idea what the book would be about or where the story would go. Two months later, I had the basic story outline created, and I would spend the next two and a half years getting the full story onto the page. As the years pass, at the ripe age of 42, I am extremely excited to begin this new chapter in my life. I had never considered writing stories, but now I don’t see myself ever stopping.
