I was born in Ireland and now live in a small village towards the south of Berlin called Rixdorf. I worked as a war correspondent reporting on Afghanistan and Kosovo. As an artist with my very own show at the Schwules Museum and now a writer. But I've also worked as a barman, a painter, a pizza chef, a trawlerman, a brickie, a chippie, a sparky, an art dealer, a drug dealer, a teacher, a fruit picker, a dish washer, a carnival ghost, Martin Amis' babysitter, an ambassador to the world's newest country, a delivery man in a long white van and a star of Polish television. And from this the stories sometimes bleed.
