Carolyn Tate is a river-swimmer, nature-devotee, ecofeminist and a neophyte farmer. Once-upon-a-time, in her dim dark past, she was a corporate banker and a marketer. Since 2001 however, she’s been an educator, coach and writer. Carolyn was 42 when she first discovered the love of her life—writing. She’s now been a professional writer for more than 15 years and has produced more than eight million words in blogs, journals, published books and work-in-progress manuscripts. She’s written six books including Brave Women Write (2022), The Purpose Project (2017), Conscious Marketing (2015), Unstuck in Provence (a travel memoir 2014), Marketing your Small Business for Dummies (2010) and Small Business Big Brand (2007). Carolyn is a freelance writer for purpose-driven organisations, a creative writing educator in secondary schools, and a mentor for women who have a story to write that will remake the world—particularly for women and Mother Earth. Carolyn is also working on a story-telling project called 'Love Stories of the Birrarung' with the Yarra Riverkeeper association. It's a project aimed at inspiring Victorians to love, protect and care for the river. As a professional speaker and educator, she's been featured in the AFR, BRW, Herald-Sun, The Age, Peppermint Magazine and Slow Living. She lives on unceded Wurundjeri Woi Wurrung land and swims in the Birrarung river. Wilip-gin Birrarung murron. (Keep the Birrarung alive!) Find out more about Carolyn: carolyntate.co
