About the Author Carolyn Gaye knows what it’s like to be getting along in years. She is so old she literally belongs in a museum — she has a master’s degree in museum studies and also in developmental psychology from San Francisco State University. She attended University of California, Berkeley, before getting married and raising two daughters. She is a grandmother of five and currently lives in Walnut Creek, California. In her book 'Older Than My Boss', people 55 and over puzzle over their future as they hit milestones common as we move along in years. In this new short story collection of fictional accounts about mature people on the verge of making a change, the characters must decide how to handle midlife crisis, retirement and the senior years. The gathered narratives are about men and women who are poised at life-changing crossroads, giving readers a chance to wonder about the path they will choose. The people in the stories have entered a new territory of life where the terrain is unfamiliar and the choices aren’t always clear. With a wide variety of personalities and situations in the book, they all find a way forward.
