With advanced degrees in English and Communication as well as being a lifelong equestrian, it just made sense to write books for children (and include horses whenever possible)! Cara grew up riding and teaching at her family's eventing barn in Utah. She now enjoys dressage, eventing, vaulting, and trail riding with her daughter while her son follows on his dirt bike. If she's not riding horses or writing books, you'll find Cara running along mountain trails, traveling to far away places, or cozying up with the family pets to a good movie (a horse movie, of course).
