Bill Gallaher was born and raised in Vancouver and has had jobs ranging from wrestling a bear in Winnipeg to teaching high school in Surrey, BC. He moved to Ireland where his hobby of song writing and guitar playing evolved naturally into performing. He played in and around the Dublin area until he returned home where he began writing songs about Canada and co-produced eight albums that have been aired on radio throughout North America and the U.K. He performed from Vancouver Island to Cape Breton and California at venues that have featured such luminaries as Blue Rodeo, Natalie McMaster and Ricky Skaggs. He has also performed on national television and radio. More than a dozen of Bill's songs have been recorded by other artists. In 2000 he turned his songwriting skills into writing historical fiction and has since published 7 novels with Touchwood Editions, an imprint of The Heritage Group. He has done readings and presentations for organizations ranging from the Toronto Public Library to the Attorney's Liability Asuurance Society (Bermuda) He lives in BC's Okanagan Valley with his wife, Jaye.
