Bernice M. Murphy is an Associate Professor and lecturer in Popular Literature at the School of English, Trinity College, Dublin. Her research interests include representations of place and space in American horror and gothic narratives, and popular fiction in all of its manifestations. Her forthcoming publications include 'The California Gothic in Fiction and Film' and (co-edited with Sorcha Ni Fhlainn), the essay collection 'Twenty-First Century Gothic', both of which will be published by Edinburgh University Press in Summer 2022.
