Barra Grant is an award-winning actress, playwright, and filmmaker. She also happens to be the daughter of the first and only Jewish Miss America, Bess Myerson. She wrote and performed her one-woman show, “Miss America’s Ugly Daughter” throughout Los Angeles and off-Broadway in New York. Barra grew up with endless goldfish as pets, books for friends, and an unfortunate physique. She overcame her childhood depression with a particular way of looking at the world and continues to worship at the feet of the god of humor.
