B.D. Godard has worn a few uniforms in his life—Air Force blues, airline captain’s stripes, and a beekeeper’s suit. He served ten years in the U.S. Air Force Security Forces, with tours in Wyoming, Texas, and Europe after graduating high school at Torrejon Air Base in Madrid, Spain. While in the Air Force, he became a pilot, later flying commercially before trading the cockpit for the hum of beehives as a full-time beekeeper. A lifelong storyteller, Godard has written for aviation magazines and now turns his pen toward military action thrillers. His novels blend gritty realism with moral complexity, drawing inspiration from authors as varied as Dostoyevsky, Tolkien, Andrews & Wilson, and Larry McMurtry. At the heart of his work are characters—flawed, determined, and human—whose struggles reflect sacrifice, loyalty, and the search for redemption. He lives in Texas with his family, guided by faith, church, and an unshakable belief in the country he served. His writing is thoughtful, sharp-edged, and sometimes laced with the dry wit of a man who knows life rarely goes according to plan.
