After an early playwright debut, Ann Henning Jocelyn gave up a promising academic career in her native Sweden for work in the London Theatre, her mentor being legendary director Charles Marowitz. Naturally bi-lingual, she went on to translate plays, films and books, working with leading authors such as Nobel Laureates Kazuo Ishiguro and Jon Fosse. She also collaborated with film star Ingrid Bergman on the autobiography My Life. Since marrying the Earl of Roden, she has been based mainly in the West of Ireland, writing books and plays. The much-loved Connemara Whirlwind Trilogy, written under Ann Henning, has been a long-term crossover bestseller, and the inspirational books Keylines, Keylines for Living and Life Harvest have been widely published internationally. Her seven stage plays to date have been produced in many venues, including London's West End. Her latest book, the historical novel The Sphere of Light/ Secrets of the Boleyn Women, endorsed as authentic by Tudor historians, was launched in June 2023 and followed by the celebrated world premiere of the stage version at Hever Castle on August 4th 2023.
