Anakana Schofield's first novel Malarky WON the Amazon.ca First Novel Award and the 2013 Debut-Litzer Prize for Fiction. It was also nominated for the Ethel Wilson Fiction Prize, named as a Barnes & Noble Discover Great New Writers Pick and on 16 Best Books of 2012 lists. Schofield is an Irish-Canadian writer of fiction, essays, and literary criticism. She has contributed to the London Review of Books Blog, The Guardian, Little Star Journal, The Recorder: The Journal of the American Irish Historical Society, the Globe and Mail, and more. She has lived in London, England and Dublin, Ireland and now resides in Vancouver, B.C. She has been invited to many Writers Festivals in the US, Canada and Europe. She has very good jokes and is always up to date with the weather.
