Allen Fishman, a bestselling author, is Founder and Executive Chairman of The Alternative Board® (TAB), the world's largest franchise system providing advisory board and executive coaching services for business owners. TAB's worldwide business advisory network operates in more than 450 cities in the U.S.A., Canada, the U.K. and Venezuela. Fishman has authored several books in which he shares his business insights to help business owners, including two best-sellers: 7 Secrets of Great Entrepreneurial Masters: The GEM Power Formula for Lifelong Success (McGraw-Hill, 2006) and "9 Elements of Family Business Success: A Proven Formula for Improving Leadership & Relationships in Family Business" (McGraw-Hill, 2008). Fishman also wrote, Allen Fishman's Money Finding Kit (published by Prentiss Hall), Strategic Business Leadership, Marketing 101 - For Business Owners Who Sometimes Need To Put On a 'Marketing Hat', 14 Secrets of Great Sales Managers, and The Painless Six Step Sales Ladder - For Business Owners Who Sometimes Need To Put On a 'Selling Hat" (which were published by DCS Publishing). Fishman's business success and ability to communicate his business and economic advice has been recognized in media such as: The Wall Street Journal, USA Today, Business Week, Inc. Magazine, Fortune Small Business, The Los Angeles Times, The Chicago Tribune, The Denver Post, Nation's Business and Profit Magazine. Fishman is a frequent guest on radio and television shows such as CNBC, Bloomberg, and CNN. Because of the successes of his business ventures and his reputation as an authority on providing advise to owners of small and mid-sized private companies, Allen was asked to produce the syndicated weekly radio segment, Formula For Success, for CBS radio network. For over a decade, he also wrote the weekly newspaper business advice column, Business Insights, which was nationally syndicated throughout the U.S.A. by Tribune Media Services. Fishman has presented to business associations and universities in 10 countries, including Japan, Korea, the U.K., Russia, France, Australia, New Zealand, Italy, Switzerland and Germany. In the United States, he has spoken at such national conventions as the Consumer Electronics Show, Mobil Oil Distributor Association and the National Health Food Association. Fishman was part owner of a consumer electronics chain, Tipton Centers Inc., which, after attaining great success became a NASDAQ-traded public entity. The company was eventually sold to the international leader in its industry. Fishman was the youngest vice president of a division of The May Department Stores Company, which was a publically traded entity. Fishman holds a finance degree, Magna Cum Laude, and a Juris Doctorate law degree from St. Louis University.
