I’m Wania De Mendonca — but you can call me AINAW, the sacred version of my name spelled backward. That name has lived inside me since childhood, even before I knew I would become a storyteller. I am a nurse by calling and an author by soul. Every day, I walk between worlds — the cold hallways of the hospital and the spiritual paths of love, ancestry, and remembrance. I hold the hands of patients in their most sacred moments, and I write stories that carry the whispers of those who came before us. My books are not just fiction — they are portals. I was born in Brazil, raised by strong women, and called by the river, the moon, and the forest. I speak English, Portuguese, Spanish, and an ancestral language only the heart understands. Until one day, something magical happened. The characters appeared inside me — alive, impatient, full of soul. They called from another plane of existence: “Write me first. It’s me!
