I’m Adam Scott Campbell, a recurring brain tumor survivor, poet, fiction writer, motivational speaker, and believer in God. My writing is born from loss, illness, survival, and the belief that even in our darkest moments, we are not alone. Before my fifth birthday, my baby brother passed away. A few years later, after a childhood accident, doctors discovered an astrocytoma brain tumor blocking the flow of fluid in my brain. That diagnosis began a lifelong journey through surgeries, double vision, recurring tumors, radiation, brain bleed, paralysis, and relearning how to walk. *Embattled We: A Poet’s War* was written from the battlefield of that experience - a raw collection about pain, fear, faith, depression, and survival. *Walking With My Angel* is the light that followed - poetic letters to and from the Heavenly Angel who saved my life in February 2010. Together, these books tell the story of being held by heaven while walking through hell. I write for the hurting, healing, grieving, surviving, and searching.
