How customer reviews and ratings work

Customer Reviews, including Product Star Ratings, help customers to learn more about the product and decide whether it is the right product for them.

To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average. Instead, our system considers things like how recent a review is and if the reviewer bought the item on Amazon. It also analyses reviews to verify trustworthiness.

Having read all their collaborations I would be hard pressed to pick a favourite. But this is fabulous - couldn't put it down and now have to make restitution for not making supper these last few nights. Congratulations!

Loved the Rhode Island setting!
There are three timelines, 1899, 1957, & 2019. The stories from the 1899 & 1957 timelines were exceptionally written. They balanced each other well. The 2019 timeline was boring and unnecessary. I found myself skimming those chapters for any details that were need to know. Those details could have been included in the other timelines and made the book 5 ⭐️.

4.0 out of 5 stars Delightful

The novel was slow to begin with, but by the time that I finished half of it, I was totally hooked. At times the fact that each chapter was a different time and a different storyteller bothered me. I know why it was set up that way, but I am still not quite satisfied with the structure. The ending was the story’s weakness: in my mind the ending needed more explanation and richer characterization. Even with those two negatives, I still really enjoyed it.

These were new authors to me so I had no idea how to approach the book. Read it in a couple of days once I got into the first chapter. Loved the different characters, how they were linked and the moving back and forth thru the time periods. Thoroughly entertained, didn't want to put it down or to reach the end. Thank you for the great story! Hope there are more!

4.0 out of 5 stars Easy read history mystery

I enjoyed the story and plotline. The book's secret was obvious and no surprise. I enjoyed the dialog and the Newport setting. As in other books in this genre, the romance went from mutual dislike to sex on a sheepskin rug in five days. Everyone ended up happily ever after. That's ok by me.

This book is a wonderful series of the lives and lovers found in Newport in a way that resembles time travel. The back and forth is a unique way to introduce characters and follow them through the century. I really enjoyed the way these writers bring their characters to life and continue to throw curves just when you think you have the clues right they upend you.Enjoy!
