A lovely picture book with a very important message. A great story to read to children and it comes with some useful information as well. I ended up buying 3 to give to my great nephews. I have also recommended it.
This is the kind of children's book I've been waiting for! Something that teaches my child valuable lessons about the environment while he reads. Children absorb everything they hear, learn and read and messages about how to treat the environment are just what they need. I hope to see many more books in this series... my six year old loved it and it has served as a platform for many great discussions. I'm going to introduce it to my son's school and I really hope other parents introduce it to schools as well... Five stars from me and my son!
This is a beautiful children's book. Pretty good for adults too. It is well written, with wonderful illustrations, and Finn is a mischievous character who is easy to identify with. The poetry contains a powerful message that we should all respond to and it is a great way to educate our children. It could well become a treasured possession for a lot of families. I am looking forward to eventually getting a hard copy.
Stories are such a powerful way to share ideas, and this is a really important one. Kids (and adults!) can learn about the dangers of plastic waste in the ocean, and what they can do to stop it, without feeling bored or preached to. Can't wait to get a physical copy, and will be making sure it gets a spot on my little nephews bookshelf.
My children love this book. It is very engaging and has led to all sorts of conversations about what they can do to 'help' other animals like Finn. A very timely read for kids and adults alike and I really like the focus on there is 'no such place as away'!
