I've enjoyed other books by this author ("Rules of Engagement" and "The Closer You Get") and felt this was a little lacking in shine by comparison.
All in all this is a perfectly decent read, but I think ultimately failed to satisfy due to the numerous length sex scenes which after the first time didn't really add anything to the reader's understanding of their relationship. There were some minor editorial errors regarding line breaks and the the odd spelling mistake, so this contributed to this feeling like a poor relation of the other works I mentioned.
I did like the dynamic between the two characters, and the vulnerability shown by one was convincing in its portrayal. A sinister thread was handled convincingly without over-egging the drama.
