Totally honest book about four female friends, and how they each deal with their lives together and individually. The characters are totally believable, well written and observed. This book made me smile, and also made me wipe away tears more than once. Raw emotions on the page, written from experience probably, and all the better for that.
Well I have friend envy! Four girls, Edele, Nat, Emma and Alex who are the best of friends and exploring all the stuff that goes with been a twenty something. Normally I have a favourite character but not for this one, I liked them all equally. A lovely read that as a 28 year old I could completely resonate with.
This book was recommended to me by a friend and for 99p I can say its an absolute steal.
The story of four friends struggling with their mid twenties felt extremely relatable. Honestly, many things mentioned felt like my life! With their flaws and their strengths captured so beautifully, it had you so invested in every character (apart from Matt, he can get in the bin). My favourite was Edele, what I wouldn't give for a friend like her in my life! Parts had me sobbing and others laughing out loud. Just a great book and perfect for a holiday read or for anyone who knows the struggle of trying to be an adult.
Overall it was amazing and beautifully written. Seriously, gift it to a woman in your life and she will thank you.
This isn’t my usual type of book. Having said that I read Almost Adults in 4 days which for me is extremely quick. Couldn’t put it down and would definitely recommend. As a female in my mid twenties, it’s entirely relatable and many situations in the book i sat thinking, yes I know that feeling.
Ali Pantony has written such a funny book about that messy part of your twenties where you're getting your heart broken, your career is a question mark and the biggest loves of your life are your friends. Honest and brutal with diologue that zings, I'm looking forward to what she writes next!
This book had me laughing out loud and sobbing my heart out because no matter what your situation, any girl can relate to the stories. It made me feel a whole lot better about being in my 20s and still not nailing this adulting thing. Beautifully written and thought provoking. I recommend this highly! Well done Ali!
