I enjoyed how Alexei and Memory interacted, and the way in which Alexi was able to have fire surging in Memory’s eyes and blood. I liked both the main characters, as individuals and as a couple. That being said when it came to Memory and all she had endured/suffered I did feel that the depiction of her behaviour/reactions, after she was liberated from her cage, signified her being a tad too well adjusted. There was just something about the ease in which she adjusted to everything that left me slightly unsatisfied, it left me feeling like a key dimension of the story/character had been forgotten.

I enjoyed the glimpses we got of characters from past books like Lucas, Sascha, their little girl, and Hawke, and can’t wait for books which have some of the kids taking centre stage.

Overall this was a nice read, but I don’t know it didn’t ensnare my attention and leave me sighing in pleasure once I finished. Don’t get me wrong I devoured this read, and enjoyed it, yet I can honestly say whilst I may re-read this book, it’s defo not in my top 5 from the Psy-Changeling/Psy-Changeling Trinity books. Yet still a good read…. Ugh! Am I seesawing a bit with my thoughts? Re-read will be needed at some point.

The Psy/Changeling series is intriguing and fascinating. The author's sense of humour always brings a smile to my face. Wolf Rain runs at a steady pace and the characters are lovable. The Psy Net continues to crumble with some devastating effects and the future prospects are looking rather gloomy.

Lexi is one of Snowdancers Lieutenant. He is a grumpy, but fun wolf. He has a fierce sense of protectiveness towards those deserving of his kindness. However, do not get on his wrong side as he isn't shy to show his claws and bites!

Memory is just that. A memory until Lexi frees her from captivity. Despite everything that she has been through, she remains strong and is very loving even though she doubts her own abilities.

Lexi is disgusted when he discovers Memory and takes her under his protection. At this stage, she could be a decoy, but that doesn't stop him from helping her. Once he discovers who she is, he is set on finding the one who wronged and abused her for so long. However, her captor is quite evasive and is hell bent on getting back what he thinks is his.

As Lexi and Memory get to the know each other, a bond forms between them, but he is convinced that he is cursed. Getting too close to him could prove to be detrimental. Can they find a solution to this problem?

Lexi and Memory fit well together. Their interactions are somewhat interesting. I like Lexi's strength and loyalty as well as Memory's strength and determination. The way she adapts to her new life is admirable. The highlight is being back in Snowdancer's territory and revisiting some of my favourite characters who all have valuable roles in this solid and out of this world concept. Loved it and looking forward to more to come.

5.0 out of 5 starsFantastic addition to an absorbing series

I devour everything this author writes and have enjoyed every book, this was no exception, highest recommendation I can give to Alexei & Memory's story is that I intended to read for an hour this morning as I had a busy day ahead but didn't stop lol I have read it in one sitting, completely lost myself until I had finished it, now feeling a bit bereft. I have been reading about the characters in this world/series for many years, I love how each new book catches up with them all and we as readers get glimpses of old and new people, some integral huge characters but also emerging ones that I can see future stories centred around, if you have not read this series before I strongly recommend you start at the beginning as each instalment carries on from the last............ Now the long wait begins, until the next one lol

3.0 out of 5 starsIs the author bored of her creation?

This is a nice addition to the Psy-Changeling series; from someone who inhaled books 1-14 this is not praise. For me, this isn't as strong as the earlier books; it's rather formulaic and predictable. Some parts that I would previously have expected at least a little development in are completely "meh" and the predatory dominant changeling types all seem to have developed VERY similar sexual tendencies (reuse and repetition of phraseology is getting tedious). There doesn't seem to be much effort invested in writing the stories, before it was quite a rich tapestry woven around the main story - not so in this (or in my opinion the last four Psy-Changeling and last couple of Guild Hunter books).

Amazing as always. And it was so good to be back in the familiar territory of the Snow Dancers, even if we didn’t spend much time in the den. I really enjoyed Alexei’s and Memory’s story and romance and seeing the continuing change happening within the new world order. Definitely fascinating to see that despite the fall of silence that things aren’t gonna be all sweetness and light.

Nalini weaves an excellent tale as usual, creating visually and emotionally enticing descriptions flawlessly. You do honestly feel like your stepping back into this world every time you pick up a new book in the series. I’m so glad to see that this series shows no signs of stopping because it’s one of my instant buys.

A fabulous return to the Snow Dancer pack. So, so good. Wonderful to touch base with so many familiar old friends. Memory and Alexis are so well drawn characters and I love the way the story arc is unfolding. Waiting with bated breath for the next instalment. Huge smile on my face from reading this.
