This series has been a favorite since I had the good fortune to discover it. The author has a sharply discerning eye for both human nature and feline personalities. Some of the cats' observations, particularly Joe Grey's, have been side-splitting, others just snarky, and some astutely sad. The mysteries are well plotted and the characters easily believable.
This is the 21st delightful book, a remarkable feat for any series, recently released (April, 2019). Although the characters are still alive and sassy, the story seemed to end on a rather final note. I hope that Mrs. Murphy, who has celebrated her 90th birthday, will bless us with more wonderful stories. If not, I remain very grateful for these unique and highly creative tales.
