I went in to this primarily for Clare Castleberry’s short story but there’s a lot here to enjoy.

Erotic horror is always a winning formula and these pieces blend darkness, violence and sexuality in a variety of ways that are great fun to digest in their small chunks.

The narration is well performed with a great range that does the material justice. You can hear the relish with which the performance is delivered and it’s obvious Ross is enjoying the macabre text.

Specifically looking at Clare’s Castleberry’s contribution, you can really see her style shining through even in this shorter piece. Sex and death, references to darker sexuality and a brooding sense of developing tension and menace. There are elements of Hellraiser here but transposing the female antagonist from The Hellbound Heart to a sympathetic protagonist here works wonders, giving us an appealing and enjoyable character who could easily sway any of us...

Really enjoyable anthology!
