Immaculate in its filth, as well as a beautifully empowering story about negotiated kink and the thrill of finding one’s perfect match.

As a first smut book and starting off strong with this one the storyline keeps you hooked and wanting more the main characters are relatable but captivating and their stories coming together is just amazing and leaves you wanting more

about 4.2 ⭐'s - this came up as a "if you liked Butcher and Blackbird and Lights Out - you'll like this" and yes I did, it didn't make me laugh like those books did but it absolutely had all the same vibes for me, after a few "meh" books this was also a welcome surprise/relief, I read the synopsis and figured I'd be happy with a spicy, easy listen on audiobook, but it was more than just that, I loved Claire and Shane and the overall story, so much so I've already pre ordered the next one.

I went into this book expecting a dark romance with a lot of primal play and not much plot, which isn't a bad thing, but I was pleasantly surprised it was sooo much more and better. The story was amazing, I loved Claire and Shane and how their relationship developed and believe me there is a lot of spice and kink but there is a really great love story as well.

I love a strong fmc who is betrayed in the past but trades up, and man did she. Shane is the ultimate book boyfriend in my opinion. I loved Shane, how awkward and sweet he was but also feral for her.
I loved their chemistry, his awkwardness and her fire and the fact that they are in their thirties/forties was a big plus for me.

I love Amy as a narrator and as claire she was amazing, she had sassiness and humor and I really liked Aaron as Shane, his voice is amazing and he was great at being both feral and sweet.

Amy and Aaron were great together
