About this listen

The White Rabbit is following me.

I can't outrun him. He's fast, he's ruthless, and if he hadn't drugged me and dragged me off to this godforsaken "Wonder" land, I might find his platinum hair and striking rose gold eyes attractive.

But here, the only wonder I've been finding is in the gaze of these beautiful men as they watch me run. Never do they try and help. No one wants to risk the wrath of Coello, the vicious White Rabbit himself.

Except Mau. The Cheshire Cat, as he calls himself. He may talk in riddles, but he's always popping up when I'm in a dire situation, whether it be with the Twins or the Caterpillar or the Mad Hatter or the Queen of Hearts. I don't know if I can trust him, but what other choice do I have?

We're All Mad Here is a reimagining of Alice in Wonderland with a spicy twist. This darker, grittier version of a classic tale will keep you as on edge as our heroine, with touches of horror and heat amidst the twisted romance. You'll love it if you prefer your enemies to lovers romance with multiple possessive, morally gray love interests who love the primal chase of their very, very "good girl."

An intriguing re-take on Alice in Wonderland, darkly macabre with twisted re-imaginings of familiar characters. The story is immersive and satisfying but misses out on five stars due to large chunks of the adventure delivered via inner monologue and exposition instead of immersing the reader in the action. As mentioned by others, the mispronunciation of "Cheshire" as "Sheshyre" is difficult to live with.

A very interesting, dark reimagining of Alice in Wonderland!
I rather enjoyed the duet narration. I felt I was on the edge of my seat quite regularly and the voice actors (narrators?) were really good! My only issue with the audio is that it is rather difficult to tell which of the male characters is speaking when in groups as the VA made different voices for them but most sounded rather similar.
The spicy scenes were really good and honestly with the male VA it was more intense to listen to, and enjoyable 😉

Curiouser and curiouser!

This was a fantastic easy listen! With Amazon voice acting too, specially from the male, a spicy and twisted retelling of Alice in wonderland.

Great twisted retelling!

This was free to listen to and the plot was interesting. The story of how Wonderland came to be and the conveyer belt of previous Alices. Interesting storyline, I wondered where it all was going but wasn’t hard to keep up.
Must admit, I was entertained, but I’m not sure I like the story. It’s a bit like watching a David Lynch film, being blown away, but not sure if I’d watch again.
The main bone of contention was the mispronunciation of the word ‘Cheshire’. The ‘Ch’ was pronounced by the narrators as a ‘Sh’ in Cheshire. Cheese, checkered, church; get the pronunciation right please! Also over pronounced the ‘ire’ in ‘shire’. Terrible English accent expressed for the Queen of Hearts. Tip: England has a high number of regional accents, why the terrible rendition of a Cockney accent is always expressed, I’ll never know. It was a bit annoying. Other than the that, the narrators did well.

Entertaining

I was on the lookout for something to listen to when i'm feeling unwell , I can't concentrate on physical books at the moment and I came across this. alice in wonderland is one of my childhood favourites as a dark romance reader this book intrigued me i didnt think I would like it as much as I did and listened to the whole thing in one go it wasn't overly complex and flowed together nicely.
I definitely will have to get a paper copy at some point to add to my collection and check out more of this author's work.

I think I kinda want a bunny too 🤣
