"I'm obsessed. I want her to be dependent on me. Is that wrong? Perhaps. Does the end justify the means? Absolutely."

The moment I laid eyes on Aurora, I knew she was mine…

That didn't stop me from screwing up our relationship, though.

Now she's single again and on the cover of Sports Illustrated for the entire world to see—and I'd do anything to get her back. Anything.

No more drugs or alcohol. Leave my temper on the ice.

When I bump into Aurora out of the blue, it feels like destiny. She's pregnant and alone, and I'm more than willing to be the man she needs.

Everyone believes the baby is mine, and as much as I wish it were true, it's impossible.

Turns out, it's Ethan Blackwood's, my overbearing head coach, and he's refusing to walk away.

So, I play the game. And everyone knows Jackson O'Reilly always plays to win…

Triple Power Play is the first book in a fast-paced, darkish, why-choose hockey romance series featuring two complicated men who will do anything to win the woman they love. Tropes include obsession, morally grey MMCs, forbidden romance, he falls first, instalove, age gap, second chance, hilarious banter, and accidental/secret pregnancy.

Contains mature content. A complete list of content warnings can be found on the author's website.

This was a bit of a mixed bag for me. The spice was spicing and it kicks off with a bang! It was a little fast paced, everything happens so quickly it felt like you missed things and I have unanswered questions. Now these may be answered in the other books as it does end of a cliffhanger but I just couldn’t feel invested in the characters and didn’t really like how they behaved throughout. I found Aurora insufferable at times and I struggled with her and Emilys friendship. The way it developed and some of the influence Emily had over Aurora didn’t sit right With me. That said the dynamic between Jackson and Ethan wasn’t what I expected, but I actually loved how they just fell into this friendship and were there for each other, the subsequent banter between them that followed had real potential. So, did I love it? Not quite. Did I get invested in the drama anyway? Absolutely.

I listened to this book and I enjoyed it. This is book☝🏼 and is an explosive start to the series. Jackson is the morally grey, red flag hockey player who instantly obsessed/lust with Aurora. From the first chapter we find out how obsessed he is and it doesn’t stop. Despite addiction and his controlling behaviour, he manages to get clean and improve his life, with the help of Ethan. Who got Aurora pregnant while they were ‘split up’
Ethan is just as obsessive and when he finds out she’s pregnant with his child, this intensifies.

The nearly cheating trope, I did not love. There was 0️⃣ communication about Aurora being with both men and I didn’t like how this was never discussed. Aurora is insecure about Jackson cheating but then essentially cheats on him. If it wasn’t for that and there was better communication, I’d have rated higher.

The cliffhanger, how rude. Now I need to know what happens 👀👀

I’m not even half way through the book but feel that some things in this book would put off a lot of listeners - there’s cheating, emotional and substance abuse etc. you’ll need to go to the website for the full list. The male narrator is fantastic though

Good but check trigger warnings
