Summary

Raine is stolen away to the Faerie Realm and she faces untold dangers. Secrets are revealed. As her world comes crashing down, can she discern friend from foe and traverse the politics of this new world to return home?

My eyes shot open. I was lying on the cold hard ground. The acrid scent of death and demons was all around me, and I scrambled to my feet. Dream or reality? I cursed as I dug my nails into my palm and it began to bleed, as my hand began to sting.

“It’s good to see you again, Wolf Queen.” I spun as I spotted the sorcerer stalking towards me.

“I can’t say the same,” I said with a scowl as I readied myself to fight. I was physically here, so I was still completely naked, and his eyes roamed over me, making me feel uncomfortable. I growled and he chuckled. With a flick of his hand, I was dressed in an elegant gown.

“Thanks,” I muttered sarcastically.

“It’s easier to talk with you dressed.” He smiled politely as if he were a kind old man, but I still remembered the pain he sent through me last time we were together.

“You want to talk?” I said with a snort of disdain. “I guess I owe you a thank you for giving me my voice back,” I said sarcastically. I owed him nothing! He only gave it back to me so he could hear my screams as he hurt me.

“I did not get to introduce myself last time. I am Sebastian Langley.”
